Does it Really Work? - Steam Buddy
By Tommy Noel
It's summertime, and that means trips to grandmas house and family reunions.
But when you get to your destination, sometimes your clothes don't look too presentable. So will the Steam Buddy attack wrinkles? Let's find out if it really works. BYU-Idaho graduate and mother of two Lorna Hall is tired of ironing so she's excited to try the Steam Buddy. "The first thing I thought of it, it would be good for travel. You can fit in a suitcase," says Lorna Hall. The product is fairly small and fits comfortably in your hand. We filled it up with water as said in the directions, and it warmed up fast. Our first wrinkle victim. A men's dress shirt. "I hate ironing those above anything else. So I never do it, my husband does his own shirts," says Lorna. I asked Lorna to just steam one side, so we can compare. "It looks like it's working," says Lorna. Next up.. A linen skirt. "I really like it but I never wear it because it wrinkles so easy," says Lorna. After a couple minutes with the steamer, most of the wrinkles disappeared. And finally, lets try some of Ian's bedding. "It's nice. Don't have to take it off to iron it," says Lorna. Lorna was also pleased with the results of the bedskirt. On our Spud-O-Meter, we asked Lorna to rate the Steam Buddy on a scale of 1 to 5. "4 and a half spuds... The only thing.. The steam is kinda hot. You have to be careful with that," says Lorna. You can get the steam buddy at Target for about 20 bucks. |
