Eyewitness News Reporter Tommy Noel fulfills some more viewer requests in this edition of Does it Really Work.

Today's product is a hi-speed blender that many of you have been hesitant to buy. But that may change now since Tommy tried it.

Kirstey Goodwin recently saw an infomercial for the Magic Bullet. Instead of getting out her credit card, she sent us an e-mail, wanting to know if it really works.

"If I can cut cooking time in half, I'm all for that," says Kirstey Goodwin.

Her main curiosity is how well it can dice up an onion.

"I cook a lot with vegetables, and chopping can be a pain," says Kirstey.

We'll get to the onion later, but first let's make some salsa.

The recipe book promises salsa in seven seconds. I don't think that's going to happen.

"It's not really getting the other stuff. You kinda have to shake it," says Kirstey.

But finally, it was time for a taste. It didn't look very appetizing.. but...

"It's good," says Kirstey.

Next up, a Strawberry Banana Smoothie.

"That did it quick," says Kirstey.

The smoothies were quite tasty for being so easy to make.

"It's a lot less expensive than going to Jamba [Juice]," says Kirstey.

Next meal. Scrambled eggs.

Everything blended well, but we still had chunks of cheese.

"They're good. They're fluffy," says Kirstey.

So thumbs up on the taste of the salsa, smoothies, and eggs.

But what about that onion?

"It's kind of pureeing it. It really didn't dice or chop." says Kirstey.

Uh oh. That's going to lose some points on the Spud-O-Meter.

We had the same results with our block of cheddar.

"It didn't great the cheese very well," says Kirstey.

On a scale of 1 to 5..

"I would give a 3," says Kirstey.

But in addition to the botched onion, Kirstey has an issue with the price.

"I wouldn't pay 60 [dollars.] It did the job, but not for 60," says Kirstey.

However, if you live in Idaho Falls, you can visit the Linens-N-Things that's about to close for good soon, and get the Magic Bullet there for cheaper.
