Does it Really Work? - CoolIT Beverage Cooler

By Tommy Noel

This week's product really turned some heads here at Channel 3. A USB Beverage Cooler. The manufacturer sent this to me, and it's mostly available on the Internet. but before you log on, Does it Really Work?

Everybody's been talking about the HOT weather and many of you are grabbing a nice cold can of soda.

But if your like Channel 3's receptionist Angel Simpson, the refreshing drink doesn't last very long.

"If I'm drinking a soda, then halfway through the day, it's warm, and I have to throw a full soda away," says Angel Simpson.

So will the CoolIT beverage chiller save those wasted beverages?

The five foot cord plugs into a USB port and works right away.

"How does it feel," asks Tommy Noel. "Cold!" replies Angel.

I checked in with Angel every hour during her five-hour shift and things started out pretty well.

"So far the can is still really cold. This thing is colder than I thought it would be," says Angel.

And this thing brought a lot of attention. All day, people were stopping by questioning this mysterious object.

"What is that?!" asks Reporter Araksya Karapetyan.

"Everyone thinks it's kind of nifty," says Angel.

By 11 o'clock..

"It's a little flat, but still cold. I thought it was gonna be warm," says Angel.

Even though the soda tastes a little flat, the product is still doing what it promises.

Around noon the Pepsi guys showed up and were also fascinated by the chiller.

"Still cold," says Angel.

Before Angel left at 1:00, we got one last update.

"I approve. I like it," says Angel.

Let's get Angel's vote on the Spud-o-Meter.

"I would rate it a four," says Angel.

Angel says she would rather buy the product in a store than over the Internet.

We also tried a water bottle, it worked ok, but not as good as the soda.

You can visit www.coolitsystems.com to purchase one, they cost about 25 bucks.
