Does it Really Work? - Grill Daddy Pro

By Tommy Noel

Today's product is the Grill Daddy Pro. It promises to take care of that caked on food on your grill.

"Two to three times a week we use it," says Taylor Gray.

Taylor is talking about his gas grill which he bought last year.

"Have you cleaned it since you bought it in August," asks Tommy Noel.

"No. I scrape it before I use it every time. It hasn't had a nice deep cleaning," replies Taylor.

Can the Grill Daddy Pro tackle something that hasn't been cleaned in nearly a year?

"I'm skeptical. It looks like a wire brush but I guess maybe the steam action helps," says Taylor.

Using only water, the product claims to clean and sterilize your grill.

The instructions recommend you pre-heat the grill for about ten minutes. We filled the brush up with water and then it was time to attack the baked on food residue.

So we could get a nice comparison, I asked Taylor to clean half a section.

Seconds later, we see the results.

"It looks pretty good," says Taylor.

Taylor's pleased with the results, so he cleaned the rest of his grill..

"Almost like when it was new," says Taylor.

And.. using only one fill-up of water.

"Looks good. Really clean," says Taylor.

We turn to the Does it Really Work Spud-o-Meter.

"I would say 4 and a half. The hard wire scraper removed all the big stuff and as soon as I turned it over and turned the water on, it was pretty quick," says Taylor.

The Grill Daddy and the Grill Daddy Pro retails for $20 to $25 and you can get it at Walgreens.

AND it's made for both left handed and right handed people!
