Does it Really Work? - Woolite Rug Stick
By Tommy Noel
In this edition of "Does it Really Work?"... Eyewitness News reporter Tommy Noel got an e-mail from a viewer requesting a type of carpet cleaner.
Commercial: "Do you suffer from dirty carpet anxiety?" If you are embarrassed by carpet stains, today's featured product may clean your worries away. The Woolite Rug Stick claims to be a revolutionary way to quickly deep clean. Jen Morgan is ready to try it. "I have a 2 year old son, and I get a lot of traffic on my rug," says Jen Morgan. Assembly was easy. All directions were written on the box. "Yeah, it was easy to put together," says Jen. To compare we'll just clean half the rug. The first pass was pretty weak, but once Jen got used to it, the suds were bubbling. At one point, there was almost too much foam. After cleaning half the rug, the instructions say to vacuum. "By the time I was done brushing, it was already dry, so you didn't have to wait a long time to vacuum," says Jen. We now examine the results. "I think it did a really good job," says Jen. Nothing like the comparison on the commercial but Jen's pretty happy with the results. Although she does have one critique. "You'd probably have to do more than one application," says Jen. Turning to the spud-o-meter. "I'd give it a 4 and a half," says Jen. The Rig Stick was purchased at Wal-Mart for about 13 bucks. |
