Does it Really Work? - Ped Egg
By Tommy Noel
With these nice temperatures, it means the summertime flip-flops will be coming out.
So you've got to get your feet looking nice, and depending on where you go, a pedicure could cost you anywhere from 25 to 50 dollars. You may be able to save some money next time. Eyewitness reporter Tommy Noel has your dime in mind in this edition of Does It Really Work? He tries a product that's supposed to give you smooth, beautiful feet. "Most people here at the station know I hate feet. I find them disgusting! So when people started requesting the Ped Egg for 'Does it Really Work', I knew I was in trouble. But I was brave, and found someone to test it out," says Tommy Noel. "Are you embarrassed by your feet," asks the Ped Egg Infomercial. The first challenge is finding someone to show their feet to all of Eastern Idaho. That's where Kristy Marlow saves the day. She's taking a big step. Even the infomercial grosses people out. It's been nearly 10 years since Kristy has had a pedicure. "They're pretty bad. Chasing kids outside barefoot or what not," says Kristy Marlow. First impressions of the Ped Egg... "Looks like a little cheese grater," says Kristy. After applying some pressure, Kristy went to work. "Wow. That's a huge difference," says Kristy. "Does it hurt," asks Tommy. "No, You can even feel it," replies Kristy. If you look closely at Kristy's jeans, you can see some of the shavings escaped. "They're really smooth. They feel good," says Kristy. We can now see the results of the foot file. "That is disgusting," says Kristy as she pours the shavings in the trash. The Ped Egg advertises that it's so gentle, it won't hurt a balloon. So we try our own experiment, with success. After treating both feet, The Ped Egg gets a thumbs up. "You could watch all the dead skin all the cracks disappear. Maybe my husband will touch them now," says Kristy. "Would you invest 10 bucks in this," asks Tommy. "Definitely," replies Kristy. We now let Kristy get her rating on the Spud-O-Meter. "Definitely 5 spuds," says Kristy. And the Ped Egg retails for 10 bucks over at Target and Walgreens. Next week, the most requested item for 'Does it Really Work?' The Debbie Meyer Green Bags. |
