Does it Work? - Twin Draft Guard

It seems like this has been a long cold and snowy winter. And while you continue to turn up the heat at home, The Twin Draft Guard promises to save you money.

We asked new home owner Jason Schulthess to try it out.

"My utilities have increased about 50% going from an apartment to a house," says Jason Schulthess.

With that big jump in Jason's bills, every little bit helps.

The Twin Draft Guard was easy to assemble. Took just a few minutes. It was even simpler to install.

"Yep. That was easy," says Jason.

The Infomercial showed an easy experiment with a hair dryer. Now, it was our turn. First, without the Twin Draft Guard.. And with.. The papers are still moving around just a little bit.

Now it's time for the real test.

Infomercial: "Twin Draft Guard moves with the door."

But not on Jason's door. The product was slipping and sliding all over the place.

So we tried a different door.

"I don't think this is going to work either," says Jason.

Third time's a charm?

Infomercial: "It easily glides on carpet."

But not on this rug.

"With a smaller gap between the door and floor, it might work," says Jason.

But the product says it'll work on any door and any floor. Jason's not real impressed.

"I don't think it's worth your time. You're gonna fight it all the time when you open and close the door. Not worth the effort," says Jason.

After three failed tests, it was pretty obvious how Jason would rate Twin Draft Guard, using the Spud Meter.

"I'd give it one potato," says Jason.

On Thursday, we'll test out Hercules Hooks. Don't miss Eyewitness News at 5 and 10pm.
