D.A.R.E Car Wash in Rexburg
REXBURG - The Police Department and Madison County Sheriff's Office were out washing cars today. It was all to raise money for the DARE program. Ray's Car Wash in Rexburg will donate the expected 1,000 dollar proceeds from today's fundraiser to the local DARE program.

"These are funds that go directly to funds in the classrooms. It goes to buy books and things like that," said Sgt. Brian Allen, of the Rexburg Police Department.

Approximately 20 officers gave up their Saturday to help out, since the money raised today is an important contribution toward the program's budget.

Eating healthier

Several local school districts have changed their cafeteria menus to healthier fare. What about you? Are you eating healthier than you used to?

  • Yes. I've made big changes in my diet. More fruits and veggies and less fried foods. I feel much better as a result.
  • Sort of. I made changes in my diet for awhile, but it never seemed to do much good. I've gone back to the way I used to eat.
