Former Pocatello Mayor running for state office
POCATELLO - Idaho Representative James Ruchti will not run for re-election, and a former Pocatello Mayor says he wants to take his spot.

Greg Anderson officially announced his candidacy for seat 29B at the Idaho State University Student Union where he worked for more than 20 years.

Anderson served one term as Mayor, and 12 years on the City Council.

He believes his experience will help him attract new business to Idaho, and allow him to work with people from every party. Greg Anderson, Idaho Representative Candidate said, "It's not just mashing things together, but you're really working with those people to come up with solutions that meet everybodys need."

Anderson plans to campaign door-to-door soon.

Wind Farms

  • They're too close to residential areas and they're lowering property values. They're ruining the view. Build them somewhere else!
  • They provide clean energy, and they generate local jobs and tax revenue. They're the wave of the future. Welcome to town!
  • Not sure.
