Mountain View Redicare open 24-7

IDAHO FALLS - We're all trying to make ends meet and get the bills paid, but when you have loads of medical bills, it's hard to catch up. Instead of spending the night at the ER, there's a new place that could save you.
A familiar sound for many parents, their sick child in the wee hours of the night. "I've been here and I've been to the ER too, the difference on the waiting is a lot better and they charge a lot for the ER," says Tanisha Stevens, mother of four. Mountain View Redicare Center is now open 24-7. "We just know there is a definite need in the community for people to access urgent care services during the night hours," says Josh Tolman, with Mountain View Hospital. Which could save you extra time and money. "There are a lot of things we can take care of here, including breaks, to colds and sniffles, to a mom who has a colicky baby and doesn't know what to do," says Tolman. Emergency room visits will cost you anywhere from $100 to $600 just to be seen, these fees don't even include tests or doctor fees. "I cut my finger and had to wait there for two hours to even get in. Here you can just come in and they usually bring you in as fast as they can and take care of it," says Shantll Ours, while waiting for her aunt and Redicare. Insurance co-pays are generally three times the price for emergency visits versus regular office visits. "This also relieves some pressure of the emergency rooms, so they can truly focus on those emergent cases," says Tolman. Remember if it's a real emergency requiring surgery or life threatening illness, you should go to the ER. For all other minor illnesses after dark, the Redicare center may be your best bet. |
