REXBURG - An increase in BYU-Idaho students staying in Rexburg during the Holiday break has been attributed to an increased married student population.

Gary Garcia, who recently graduated from BYU-I, said, "The parking lot seems more full that in past Christmas's. Well most of our family lives around here, my wife's lives in Ririe. I'm from Rexburg."

Students graduating and then staying in the area is also another possible reason for the increase.

Wind Farms

The wind turbines lining the foothills east of Idaho Falls are getting a lot of attention. What do you think about the wind farms?

  • They're too close to residential areas and they're lowering property values. They're ruining the view. Build them somewhere else!
  • They provide clean energy, and they generate local jobs and tax revenue. They're the wave of the future. Welcome to town!
  • Not sure.
