POCATELLO - A local church is helping to spread holiday cheer by Christmas caroling.

Members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, along with others in the community, visited nursing homes and shut-ins Saturday afternoon.

They know they aren't necessarily the best singers, but they still want people in the community to realize someone cares about them. Gloria Mayer, Organizer said, "They don't have to sing along or anything like that, but if everybody we visit can smile a little bit then we've brought them a little joy."

After singing the group was invited to a chili supper at the church.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
