Boise Police says Edgar J. Malepeai was driving on the Connector in Boise when an officer spotted him weaving in his car, performing an unsafe lane change and failing to signal.

Police say he took two Breathalyzer tests and blew .10 and .099. The legal limit in Idaho is .08.

Malepeai, a Democrat from Pocatello, was arrested for driving under the influence. Malepeai is on the Transportation Funding Task Force and represents District 30.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
