AMMON - For those of you who are ready to roll out your sleeping bag and wait among the hundreds of pre-dawn shoppers, make sure you do your research.

That deal you think you're getting could just be just a click away in the comfort of your own home.

"There are some great deals and they're worth getting up for," says Jason Neville.

Black Friday is infamous for the biggest shopping day of the year. Millions of dollars and countless hours are spent all in efforts to get the best bargains.

"Some of the items are several hundred dollars off," says Neville.

Before you head out and stand in those freezing lines, read the fine print.

"When we're out we're out," he adds.

Minimum 2 per store.

"We won't be issuing rainchecks," says Neville.

Great deals, maybe not for everyone. But some people are skipping those lines all together and going straight to Amazon.com.

They're you'll find the same item at Walmart for the same price, plus free shipping. Online shopping sales are expected to grow eight percent, which is why Walmart is taking Amazon on.

"We're very competitive on this add. You can go and compare, but we've got some great buys," he adds.

Buys that may be better off bought in that day.

"Customers find there are so many great deals that day, they don't just come in for one item, they come in for several," says Neville.

Getting the slashed prices and the large quantity all in one swoop.

I'll be out there on Black Friday talking to shoppers to see if they got those really greet deals.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
