Home Based Business

IONA - It looks like your typical night party-hanging out with girlfriends- but it's not- this is a business opportunity spreading like wildfire by word of mouth.

"It's kind of a second job I am home with my kids, it just gives me something to do, it gets me out of the house," says Stephanie Lee Candle consultant, Allison Kraykovic.

Allison Kraykovic is a mother of four and needed to make a little more residual income, now she's got a business from home, profiting from selling her favorite products, candles; and she can anywhere between $100 to $5,000 a month!

"My husband goes crazy because I cannot go to a store without picking up a candle so it gives me an opportunity to do something that I really like and make a little bit of money, and I get to hang out with some really fun people."

Our economy calls for people to work harder to stay afloat, so people find second jobs or part-time work. Allison became an independent consultant for Stephanie Lee Candles, a company that allows entrepreneurs to build there own business right from his or her home.

"Say I have a friend that buys a room spray and it's ten dollars for the 4 ounce room spray, and I turn around and buy it from Stephanie for 6 dollars, so there's $4 profit there."

"I'm a consultant so customers would come to me and purchase the product and I would then earn a commission on that sale," says consultant, Amy Kelsey.

Allison's got everything from body mist to car fresheners, and everything is priced little bit differently so depending on how many guests she has she can make a pretty decent profit.

So if you're looking for another way this holiday season to earn a little cash flow, consider a home based business.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
