AMMON - "Oh my gosh!"

Bonneville County students got to experience what it feels like to grab the wheel intoxicated with fatal vision DUI goggles.

"You can't tell depth or perception anywhere," says Garion Wells.

"It was way off. I could tell and everything looked distorted," says Makayla Hurzeler.

"It was crazy, it did a perfect job I think," says Blake Rydalch.

There were a few crashes and close calls, but mostly students saw first hand the dangers of drunk driving.

"I probably won't drink at all. After learning that it could hurt everyone, I probably won't do it," says Hurzeler.

"People who drive drunk, they should just stay off the roads and make this place a lot safer," says Rydalch.

Youth are teaming together to focus on the issue of underage drinking and how to take action within their own community.

"For everyone that I see is drunk and driving, I will literally pull them out of their car. That's not cool to be trying to kill someone else," says Rydalch.

"I think if you're going to drink you need to be of age and drink in moderation so you don't screw things up," says Wells.

A valuable lesson learned to keep our families safe.

The conference comes to an end tomorrow at the Town Hall Meeting from 7-9pm.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
