POCATELLO - The American Legion Auxiliary is holding their annual Holiday Gift Boutique this weekend.

You can peruse jewelry, hand-made hats and blankets, bags, and dozens of other items from 24 different vendors.

The sale raises money for the Auxiliary to support local veterans, and send items like coupons to those serving overseas. Barbara Wadlow, Pocatello American Legion Auxiliary President said, "To help somebody, especially the veterans who have given so much to us, some of them paid the greatest price for us, and to be able to give back a little bit to them that's what it's all about."

The boutique is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bannock County Veterans Memorial Building.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
