Ghosts of Channel 3

I didn't believe in ghosts- until this small green ball moved from one side of the room to the other- without any human present. We were on a ghost hunt- hoping the eerie stories I heard in the newsroom were true.

"I remember seeing out of the corner of my eye, what was obviously a man's face and I looked over I jerked over and he was no longer there," says 9-year KIDK employee, Shilo Rhodehouse-Loree.

"I knew two of the spirits that were suppose to have been there," says 20-year KIDK employee, Harold Hooker.

Determined to seek out these Earthbound spirits- I contacted, psychic medium, Kristin Wathen.

"I have picked up that there are five, one is a female and the rest are male," says local psychic-medium, Kristin Wathen.

As we timidly moved downstairs, Kristin started to feel the ghosts out.

"I'm just telling them we are here to validate their existence here and we would like to talk to them and communicate with them at any time and help them if they want it."

She confirmed two of the ghosts were the same two that were former Channel three employees, and current employees, had seen them before.

"I am sitting here intensely doing my job and I swear I heard some guy's voice right behind me and I couldn't make out a word he said but he was talking pretty loud;it could be Quincy, but it could have been Tom or anybody else," says Rhodehouse-Loree.

Quincy Jensen was a photographer at KIDK for years, he died from a heart attack in the early nineties. Tom Boland also died around that same time- he was a station engineer- who practically lived in the basement.

We used an Electro magnetic frequency monitor to see the ghosts energy levels- the needle was off the chart around Harold.

The next sign the ghosts left us was unexpected.

"Oh my gosh it's really strong hold on, it's really strong," says KIDK reporter, Hasti Taghi. "So what is that, why do we smell that?" I asked. "That is when they come they bring a sense of smell with them," explained Wathen.

One of the ghosts surrounded us with his scent- only more proof- they were there. Kristin promised the spirits, if they played with us, she would help set them free; they agreed, along with other ghosts too. We gathered in the studio- and she helped send them to the light.

"Frank and Emily went, Randy went, Quincy is going to think about it; Quincy went but he says he'll be back and he says you will know when he does," says Wathen.

"It seemed like almost a mild vertigo, something shifted in the energy, just an energy shift," says Hooker.

That shift, Kristin describes it as if the ghosts energy is channeling toward the light; and then all of a sudden it seemed quieter. She looked at me, and asked if I wanted to hear a message.

"Did you leave a pet?" Wathen asked me. "I'm going to cry, yeah, I had a dog that died the week that I moved here she died at home," I answered. "The puppy is still very much attached to you."

When it ended, Kristin told me there aren't any more ghosts here- and the reason they stayed as long as they did- was to protect us from other unkind spirits.
