Hundreds of people participate in health conference at ISU

POCATELLO - Dozens of people packed into the Pond Student Union at Idaho State University to talk about health care.

The 22nd annual Conference on Health Care is being held together with the Geriatric Health Symposium.

About 150 people are participating including students, doctors, and health care professionals.

Speakers are discussing obsessive compulsive disorder, pharmacy law, and fall prevention for the elderly. Deanna Dye, Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy said, "We are in the top three in the nation of risk of falls, and fatal falls. So not just falling and getting injured. People are dying from falling."

Several local businesses and groups set-up booths offering general health information.
