POCATELLO - Idaho State University launched a web portal for students today making it easier to access online services.

BengalWeb is a designed to be a one-stop shop.

Students can access their e-mail, the library, Moodle, and Google Apps with a single log-in.

Eventually the system will be used to register for classes, pay fees and tuition, and manage financial aid. Mike Hotrum, a Junior said, "That's the only thing I'm looking forward to right now is being able to pay fees online, and not wait for an hour, two hours, three hours sometimes because of the queues."

Students can customize BengalWeb to feature the services they use the most.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
