IDAHO FALLS - We hope you had a great holiday weekend and enjoyed the fireworks, but more importantly folks stayed safe during the festivities.

The big day brought in thousands of people across Eastern Idaho for parades, Freedom Festival and of course the big fireworks.

There were a few noise complaints, but police tell us it was an unusually quiet weekend.

Each county had minimal DUI's and few traffic violations. In some areas the bad weather kept people inside and the traffic in Idaho Falls kept people from speeding.

But with every good party, there's always a bit of a mess left behind.

40 hard working city employees started the cleanup around the green belt, bright and early this morning.

The Melaleuca Freedom Celebration, in Idaho Falls, brought in over 100 thousand people and surprisingly it didn't take long to clean up.

"We put more cans out this year and we got a few more people to actually work the forth so we got it done pretty quick today i think it was a little bit better this year," says Josh Stephens with the City of Idaho Falls.

If you lost anything, the best place to check is with the Idaho Falls Police Department. they're also taking in lost items, so if you found something, you can drop it off there too.
