SOUTHEAST IDAHO - Nothing gets you in the mood to celebrate America's Independence like some good ol' patriotic music.

nd all over southeast Idaho, groups of all different ages, abilities, and stature got their towns ready for this weekend.

In Rigby tonight, the chorus group, America's Hope, is made up of elementary aged kids.

They took the stage at Rigby High and performed skits and stories as well as songs such as "Freedom Isn't Free"

Sometimes the 4th is just about getting out and enjoying yourself. And plenty of folks did just that as they filled up Smith Park in Rexburg for "Rexburg's Got Talent, Battle of the Bands."

Music lovers got to hear an eclectic mixture of artists. Including Jamaican, Keysha McCarthy and her band who got the crowd rockin.

And how about this for creativity, Keysha showed off her ability to improv.

"Gimme a topic, anyone just scream a topic. Octopuses! Octopi, Dave? Ok... I heard ice cream."

And sure enough, she made up her own ice cream song.

And the biggest show of the night came at the Civic Auditorium in Idaho Falls for the American Festival Chorus with special guest Daniel Beck...who's also inspired by the music.

"And the program we've got is full of some wonderful patriotic spirit that it really actually fires me up for the 4th for sure," says Beck.
