BANNOCK CO - Bannock County Sheriff's deputies used a taser to take a Lava Hot Springs man into custody.

46-year-old Robert Cordova is charged with misdemeanor resisting and obstructing an officer.

The problem started at the Lava Spa Motel Monday, when Cordova allegedly tried to stop officers from arresting a 15-year-old male who was wanted on a probation violation.

Cordova was taken to the Bannock County Jail, but has since posted bond.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
