ST. ANTHONY - A small plane crash just northwest of St. Anthony. Around 1pm Friday, Fremont County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the scene. When they arrived, they found a crop duster in the middle of a corn field completely on fire. Deputies were able to find the pilot, Kevin Peterson of Rexburg, who escaped with no injuries.

According to Peterson, the plane's engine died and he was trying to land the plane in the field. He went through a barbed-wire fence and ditch, causing him to lose control.

The crash is still under investigation.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
