ABERDEEN - Search and rescue teams are continuing their efforts to find a Pocatello man who went missing at the American Falls Reservoir on Saturday.

About a dozen divers from several law enforcement agencies spent hours searching the murky water for any sign of Charles Knipp Tuesday.

Deputies from the Bingham County Sheriff's Office are also using aircraft to assist with the search.

Knipp's red and black boat was found Monday several miles east of the dock, but rescuers are having a difficult time dealing with the terrain. Cpt. Robert Sobieski, with the Bingham County Sheriff's Office said, "There's a lot of willows down on that end of the reservoir where the boat was located. It was actually located in the willows so it makes it a little tougher for the divers to go through-a lot of snags and catches."

Knipp's wife reported him missing Sunday when he failed to return from his Saturday fishing trip.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
