Inside Ammon's newest neighborhood
By Anthony Congi
AMMON - If you head up Sunnyside through Ammon, you'll find Hawk's Landing, the newest neighborhood to hit Bonneville County.
On display this weekend will be a couple of their new homes. 300 homes are planned on 100 acres of land. The developers are trying to bring back the old neighborhood feel with a fully-engaged community, where everything is within a short distance of home. "Your close to your neighbors and its an opportunity just to stay here for the most part other than the few times you might need to go down to the valley and do other shopping but it's pretty self contained," says Developer, Jeff Hawkes. "With the home buyers, i don't think there's ever been a better time to buy a home. Depending on what your needs are, and your situation in life. You can go smaller or a little bit larger. But just very livable homes situated in the middle of parks and open space," says Hawkes. In fact, 21 of the 100 acres within the community will be open space and parks. Destination Homes is making things easy even for first time home buyers. No money down and 5% at 30-year fixed, will get you a home under $200-thousand. "They're offering great incentives this weekend for those who want to come out to our grand opening and that are looking to buy a home. And so there's never been a better time to buy a home or a better place in our opinion," says Hawkes. A public open house is set for tomorrow from 11am to 7pm. Just head east on Sunnyside, all the way up the hill. You can't miss it. |
