Officers in Bannock County practicing S.W.A.T. skills
By Wes Horrocks
POCATELLO - About 45 law enforcement officers are in Bannock County practicing their swat skills.
At the three-day school, officers learn about team movement, how to search open areas and buildings, and they'll even get weapons training. The goal is to prepare officers for any situation they might need to deal with, and to continue developing a Southeast Idaho S.W.A.T. team. Jim Dalley, Bannock County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy said, "If there is an incident in Bear Lake County, for example, these people have already received the training and they can get some of the parts in place before some of the other members of the team arrive." Nine different agencies are working together in the training. |
