JEFFERSON COUNTY - A fire in Jefferson County makes one home almost a total loss.
It happened Saturday night at a home on East 250 North in the Ririe area.
The fire spread to much of the back side of the house damaging almost everything in sight.
Jefferson County is not giving out any information on the fire at this point.
A relative of the homeowner gave us a peek at the damage.
He believes the fire may have started from the hot tub on the back porch.
The owner escaped without injury.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
