Iona gets new Police Chief

IONA - Iona finally has a full time Police Chief. Shannon Basaraba was sworn in Wednesday night by Iona Mayor Brad Anderson with help from Idaho Falls Police Chief Steve Roos.

The city has always had a part time officer, but with recent growth, it needed someone to patrol full time.

The new chief is hoping to hire a few officers in the future. Before Idaho, Basaraba worked for the Wyoming State Police
