Idaho's quarter voted least favorite

A new survey shows that Americans don't like Idaho's state quarter.  The website www.walletpop.com  asked their online readers to vote for their favorite and least favorite state quarter.

Idaho's quarter came dead last.

The coin features a peregrine falcon over a small state map.  Back in 2006, the quarter received a lot of negative reaction when then Governor Dirk Kempthorne picked the design.

Many residents wanted the Sawtooth Mountains or even a potato featured on the quarter.

Which quarter was the favorite?  Alaska is the winner, featuring a grizzly bear with a salmon in its mouth.

So what do you think of Idaho's quarter and do you agree with the survey?  Sign up and leave a comment below this story.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
