IDAHO FALLS - Talk about emotion, this whole town is ready for one of the most anticipated games of the season. Early Friday, both Idaho Falls and Skyline held pep rallies to kick off Friday night's game.
Is the eye of the tiger really the cream of the fight? Rising up to the challenge of their rival? Or is tonight really the beginning of the future for Skyline High? Either way both student bodies are ready.
The Tigers got everyone involved playing a type of musical grab the potatoes... no injuries were reported.
Across the tracks, Skyline went with the dramatic theme, playing video highlights of previous Grizzly wins.
And even though Skyline is having a bit of a rough year, you can never count out a crosstown rivalry.
I asked Idaho Falls Head Football Coach, Chuck Johnson, "What's it like for the town, what's it like for for the school and what does it mean for the students?
"Well as you look out here you can see all this orange and black. There's a lot of pride from our school, student body, parents, teachers, everyone that's associated with Idaho Falls and I'm sure it's the same way across the tracks. But there's one thing about this game, it just brings everybody out and it's just a great, great event," he replied.
And though both schools had great student rallies, the real win will come tonight between the lines.
So will these goal posts stay orange or will they turn a shade of blue? Kickoff starts tonight at 7 at Ravsten Stadium. We'll have the highlights of this game and all the rest in the area on Channel 3's Sports Plus at 10 PM.
