Pothole Problems

Pothole Problems

By Anthony Congi

IDAHO FALLS - You probably won't know it until it's too late. All of a sudden, your tire hits a pothole. Your coffee spills in your lap, your head jolts and you wonder if something broke on your car; and that's when you can actually see the roads.

When the winter hits, your guess might be as good as any. But here are some places to slow down.

Driving to or from the Ririe area, the entire intersection of Yellowstone and North Woodruff has it's share of road problems, including potholes.

If you turn up Lincoln toward Hitt, you'll definitely want to slow down before you get to the round about.

Hitt to Sunnyside is pretty smooth sailing until you get near the mall. Across from Target is an area you'll want to watch out for.

The L.D.S. church near the corner of Holmes and Sunnyside has a manhole cover with a big chunk of asphalt missing.

And heading back toward the station, the north side of Holmes and 17th has a couple divots as well.

Because of today's Columbus Day holiday, we weren't able to speak to anyone from the city to see what their plans were on fixing these areas before the snow hits. But we'll follow up on this and let you know.
