Names of Women Killed, Injured in Crosswalk Accident Released

72-year-old Deloris Stanton was killed and 51-year-old Bonnie Warne was injured after being hit by a car Saturday night in Rexburg.

REXBURG - Channel 3 has confirmed the names of two women hit while crossing 2nd West in Rexburg Saturday night.

72-year-old Deloris Stanton was pronounced dead at Madison Memorial Hospital following the accident. 51-year-old Bonnie Warne was taken to the hospital in critical condition. She has since been upgraded to fair condition.

Stanton and Warne were crossing 2nd West near Taco Time Saturday night when a car, driven by 28-year-old Nuel Howard, slammed into them.

Howard has not been charged as this time, but charges are expected to be filed later this week.
