GREAT VIDEO: Police Find Explosives In Routine Traffic Stop

IDAHO FALLS - The Idaho Falls Bomb Squad was called to the parking lot at WinCo to inspect an explosive found in a car.

An Idaho State Trooper pulls over a drunk driver, and finds explosives inside a car. Eyewitness News was first on the scene Saturday night.

The teenage driver of that car is now being held at the Bonneville County jail.

19 year-old Lynn Kuhn of Idaho Falls was pulled over by an an ISP trooper in the WinCo parking lot for an expired registration and a modified exhaust system, around 10 O'clock Saturday night.

Initially, Kuhn was arrested for driving under the influence. While the trooper was searching inside his car, he found a "potential life threatening" device. The Idaho Falls Bomb Squad was called out.

After several hours the device was detonated. According to the IFPD, the device was made from left over firework material, then wrapped in duct tape. Police were on scene until the early morning hours.
