Pocatello Plans for New Animal Shelter

POCATELLO - Animal shelter staff met with Mayor Chase on his weekly show tv show, "Calling City Hall," to inform the public about their building plans for the new shelter.

"The building plans for the new shelter are going to be three times as big as the shelter we have right now. It is also going to have an education center to help educate the kids and pet owners about their pets. It was also have a bigger pen to hold more dogs and cats," said Animal Shelter Director Mary Remer.

"Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter" will host a benefit on Wednesday, October 8th at Jim Rogers Ranch. That is located at 5688 Bannock Highway in Pocatello. Residents will be able to view the proposed "Safe Haven" building plans from 6 to 8 pm.
