DEQ Holds Public Meetings for Coal Plant

POCATELLO - The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)
gave its first presentation on a proposed air quality permit to concerned Pocatello residents.

The permit is needed to regulate emissions that will be generated in the manufacture of fertilizers using coal gasification technology at the facility.

The public informational meetings will be held:

Sept. 22, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Pocatello City Hall Council Chambers

Sept. 23, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. American Falls Public Library, Community
Room, 308 Roosevelt St.

Sept. 24, 10:30a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Tribal Business Center, Pima Drive, Fort Hall.
