IDAHO FALLS - Hundreds of District 93 students got some help to the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?

The Career on Wheels event gave them the chance to rotate through 30 different career choices.

More than 600 sixth graders got to leave the classroom on this beautiful day, and all got a visual, hands-on experience.

"We really want them to be exposed to as many job choices and careers that will be available to them out in the community as they hopefully get passed high school," says Kathlene Parsons, a counselor at Iona Elementary.

From Sheriff's deputy to D.J. to funeral director, all the bases were covered.

Information on area colleges were also made available to the students.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
