LAVA HOT SPRINGS - Every year, "Art in the Park" attracts skilled artists selling handmade jewlery, quilts, and other artwork.
"It's been very interesting...a lot of fun," says vendor, Victor Burgess. Carol Shivers takes pride in her one of a kind jewlery made mostly of semi-precious stones and bones from africa. They're all so different every one is unique, to be able to do make them hours after hours, its magical. She's been crafting one of a kind jewlery since the 1970's. "Like this one you see here is made out of aquamarine." Randi Lile traveled from Salt Lake City to sell her animal inspired sculptors and pottery." "I like it when people find something that relates to them," says Lile. Beyond the variety of artwork, the park is nestled comfortably next to the portneuf river attracting locals... "You got the river with the kids watertubing...its fabulous." The unique shopping experience also draws tourists from all over. "I wish I had a charge card with unlimited access...everything is so beautiful," says festival goer Janet Chapell. |
