By Todd Kunz

AMMON - The Bonneville County Detectives have finished their investigation into the Blackhawk Fire and are calling it accidental.

They have determined the fire was caused by a hot exhaust system from a car or truck.

The Blackhawk was the fire burning in the foothills south of Ammon July 30.

A reminder the fields are very dry and motorists need to be very careful when parking or stopping off the side of roads.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
