BINGHAM COUNTY - A semi wreck on I-15 had both North bound lanes closed for several hours this evening. Around 6:45 pm a semi traveling North in the passing lane over corrected and ended up on his side across the highway just north of the Shelley-Firth exit. The driver, 55 year old, Frank Richie was taken to EIRMC to be checked out.

Trooper Stevens with the ISP explains what it took to get the Semi off the highway. "Its gonna take a couple of hours to clear it out. They're gonna have to lift it up on it's side and then turn it and take it out."
Police are still investigating why the driver over corrected.
Traffic had to be re-routed through Shelley and up highway 91.
No one else was involved in the accident.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
