Stephanie Eldridge Search Continues
By Anthony Congi
IDAHO FALLS - On August 20th, 2007 Stephanie Eldridge was seen at her house around 11am. Just an hour later, her step mother came to visit, but Stephanie was gone. Only her four year old daughter was found at the home, alone. Stephanie has not been seen since.
The only thing missing from her home was a cell phone. Police tried tracking the mother of two using GPS, but nothing turned up. Almost a year later, police still don't have much to work with. "We don't have any fresh leads. We encourage the public, if you have anything, let us know. We're continuing with the investigation but there's nothing fresh so we're looking at new information," sayd Idaho Falls Police Chief Steve Roos. Lieutenant Ken Brown of the Idaho Falls Police has been working the case since Stephanie went missing. He says detectives are still very much looking for her and that cases like these never really close. The police department has followed up on several leads over the past 11 months, but everything to-date has led to a dead end...at this point they are relying on the public to help find her. "I think right now the way this case is going to be solved is if someone from the public comes forward. So we really need some fresh information if we're gonna get a hold of this," says Roos. The Eldridge family is still very committed to finding Stephanie and are always passing out flyers to remind everyone that she is still missing. If you have any information, call the Idaho Falls Police Department at 529-1200 Or Crime Stoppers at 523-1983. |
