High Speed Chase Through Idaho Falls, Suspect Tries to Run Over People & Officers

It was a wild night for the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office and for some drivers on 17th Street.

At about 11 Sunday night, deputies were called out to a suicidal man near Tiebreaker and 1st Street.

When they approached him, the suspect took off at a high rate of speed.

The man was traveling the wrong way on 17th Street and swerved to try and hit people and other officers.

The car was then pitted near the intersection of 17th and Balboa where he was taken into custody.

The suspect's in jail on DUI charges, felony eluding, and aggravated assault.

The suspect's name has not been released.
