The Bonneville County Sheriffs Office is looking for two suspects involved in this morning's home invasion robbery in the Comora Loma neighborhood just southeast of Idaho Falls.

Neighbor's are scared, angry and I think most of all shocked. I spent the morning out here and talked to quite a few people who drove by or walked over from down the street, including one neighbor, who didn't want to go on camera, but he's the man who called 911 after his neighbor ran from his house screaming, he was being robbed.

"Nobody expects this to happen to them."

and the family in this home sure didn't expect it either...just before 10 this morning, police say, two armed men...one with a knife and one with a gun, entered this home.

"They bound the occupants of the house, and demanded money, they also stole 3 weapons, 3 hand guns from the house."

Along with ammunition and the family's SUV which police later recovered. So police warn, the two men are armed and should be considered very dangerous.

Neighbors I talked with earlier tell me...today's home invasion is upsetting.

"Its really shocking when something like this happens across the street from you, you don't expect it to happen in your neighborhood, let alone across the street."

"Rick: It seems like the kind of neighborhood where you could leave your doors unlocked.
Dan: This neighborhood has been, but I'm sure it won't be anymore."
"I'm glad no one from my family was in the house."

Police describe the two suspects as white males weighing 200 pounds, standing 511 tall, when they were last seen one was wearing a black sweatshirt and the other a red one.

Idaho law allows state agencies to divert some state income tax refunds to pay legal obligations like court fees, child support, and sheriff's garnishments. Taxpayers whose refunds have been diverted have no legal recourse. What do you think of the law?

  • Times are tight. If the state needs the money, this approach is better than budget cuts, tax hikes, etc.
  • I'm entitled to the refund, and the state can just take it? Unfair and ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
