Alleged Statutory Rapist Reaches Plea Agreement

A Madison County man accused of statutory rape has reached a plea agreement with the state.
In October, Jason Van Orden was arrested for raping an underage girl. Monday the statutory rape charge was dropped in exchange for Van Orden pleading guilty to one misdemeanor count of fornication and one misdemeanor count of interfering with the custody of a child. Van Orden also faces a delivery of a controlled substance charge. |
