Tornado in IF?

Tornado in IF?

By Danielle Leigh

What could have been a tornado ripped through the Sunnyside Gardens in Idaho Falls earlier this afternoon.

Witnesses tell me a spiraling gust of wind actually lifted two of their greenhouses off the ground.

One of the greenhouses suffered significant damage. That's because the metal pillars holding it up were actually bent when the wind ripped through this pathway.

I'm told this pile of wooden crates was also lifted and moved several feet.

"It was picking up little pieces of pebbles and then when it picked up the boards and they were at least four feet off the ground it was a little scary," says Christina Gutke.

Christina tells me the wind didn't last more than a minute. She also says they were able to fix the greenhouse enough to protect the plants from tonight's freezing temperatures.

Our Meteorologist Dave Harmon tells us the gust was likely a micro burst and not a tornado.
