SWAT Team Finds Armed Suspect in Idaho Falls, Reverse 911 Alert Cancelled

An update on Breaking News you saw first on Eyewitness News.

The Idaho Falls Police Department and the SWAT team were looking for an armed man in the area of 17th Street and Curtis Avenue.

Dispatch says a reverse 911 call was sent out around 5 a.m. to homes within a half mile radius of that intersection, telling people to lock their doors and windows, and to stay inside.

Leon Lambombard was caught at about 6:40 Friday morning on Yellowstone Highway.

He's been charged with a felony count of malicious injury to property and 2 misdemeanor charges, discharge of a weapon within city limits and unlawful entry.
