Idaho Falls High school is about to become a little more well known. One senior is taking action into his own hands and leaving behind a sign of pride.
Local high schooler, Logan Baker, has gone above and beyond to make his mark and also to make a little history. Idaho Falls high school is home of the tigers and Logan wanted to make sure the town knew this.
Logan Baker, (IFHS Senior) "We thought if we put letters on the side of our smoke stack it would give our schools pride"
Logan Baker decided to turn this ordinary brick smoke stack that towers over the school into something a little more interesting. Up and down the two sides will hold the the words "tiger town" and "tiger nation." He hopes the words will encompass the true meaning of a strong community.
Logan Baker, (IFHS Senior): "Everyone has really helped make this a possibility and I'm really excited to get it done."
With help from friends coming up with the idea, Logan received approval from the administration and quickly went to work sending out letters to all parents, businesses in town and alumni of the school. Because of these letters he was able to raise the five thousand dollars needed for this project.
Logan Baker, (IFHS Senior): "I'd like to thank the community for all their support and it's truly a community and I couldn't have done it without everyone's help."
Logan is proud to be a tiger and more importantly he is a roll model for Idaho Falls high. The hanging of these letters will begin tomorrow at 8 a.m. and will be an all day event.
