Car Windows Smashed In Idaho Falls

By Araksya Karapetyan

Three cars and two trailers had their windows smashed in overnight.
Rex Card keeps his two cars on this lot, on the corner of Whittier and North Lee.
He's been doing this for over fifteen years with different cars he owns, and never has had a problem, until this weekend.
He showed up to find the windows broken with a stick inside.
Card says at this point it's a total loss.

Rex Card: "At this time not going to fix the car up, because the price of the glass is more than what the car's worth, so it's just a loss to me."

Too top it off, Card says a couple weeks ago his car and another man's had the gas siphoned out of it.
His car was missing five gallons.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
