You might listen to him every morning as you get ready for your day and now one local radio D.J. is in the doghouse...literally.

Charlie Michaels of Q102 radio has tried some crazy things but sleeping in a dog house? That's something he's never done...until now.

Charlie Michaels, Q102 Radio: "We've been in trouble before and been in the dog house. So we went on the radio and said that we would stay in the dog house until we raised ten thousand dollars."

That ten thousand dollars us for the Teton Valley Humane Society...an organization desperately in need of some money.

Jani DeLange, Teton Valley Humane Society: "Our donor no longer lives here and isn't donating any more."

The Humane Society is relying on the community and people like Charlie and his crew to make a difference.

Michaels: "People have been coming by making donations."

People like Amy Potter who says the Humane Society is needed in the valley.

Amy Potter, Supporting Humane Society: "Somebody needs to do something. You need to have someone taking care of the dogs that no one is taking care of."

So even though it's a little uncomfortable...

Michaels: "I did not get much sleep because a number of people just wanted to find out if I was really in there."

and a little cold...

Michaels: "If I have to spend one more night, I will as long as ladies bring me an electric blanket."

Charlie says it's worth it.

DeLange: "It's very kind of Charlie and his crew for coming out and doing this for us."

Potter: "He is quite the man to do that. It's impressive. A good commitment to the community."

At about 5pm on Tuesday, Charlie reached the ten thousand dollar mark and won't have to spend any more nights in the dog house.

The Humane Society is still taking donations. For more information, click below:
