Channel 3 Gift Guide: Gadget Must-Haves

Channel 3 Gift Guide: Gadget Must-Haves

By Rick Montañez

Tonight's gift guide is focused all on electronics and hi-tech gadgets. Its time to throw out the budget for these gifts, some of the items we highlight tonight you can't really find in a bargain store.

I don't know about you, but electronic gadgets and gizmos are always welcome under my tree, and this year we're seeing innovative navigation systems, smaller digital cameras, picture frames and believe it or not, books.

"More people come in for GPS units than any other gift for the holidays, its one of the personal, kind of portable electronics that people have really been coming in for."

"The units are getting smaller, screens are getting larger and the units are easier to use that ever before."

"One of the big gift things this year is cameras that aren't silver or black but actually have colors, personalize them a bit."

"You get a lot of people looking for something very small to take to birthdays and things like that, the T-series cameras are extremely thin, they can be put in a shirt pocket, a nice large LCD screen on the back that you're gonna be capable of seeing what you're taking pictures of."

"Sony H3 actually has a 10x optical zoom on it and as you can see, very thin very small body. A lot smaller body than anything that had a 10x optical zoom a year ago, or two years ago."

After you take the pictures, why don't upload them to a digital picture frame, changing these pictures is easier than doing it yourself. Book lovers check this out...Amazon's Kindle book connects wirelessly to the net, so you can download your entire books and magazines. And it only weighs 10.3 ounces, less than one paperback.

Some of these things are quite pricey, but some of those cameras you can find for a good deal, tomorrow night is the conclusion to the Channel 3 gift guide, and we're taking you shopping at dollar stores.
